Fire, Fiber and a Broken String

Continued with the pyrography series of Rock Stars this week. Started with David Bowie this week

Madonna was my second burn and here is some of the process

At home I am back to weaving a runner on my Saori loom

Ukulele journey is going slowly. Using an electronic tuner, I broke my G string and am replacing it. I also found a ukulele teacher around the corner from the studio. Those 20 hours to learn something are going to take some time. Re-stringing that cord this weekend and checking out some tutorials. Learning new things is fun.

🌊Sea Turtles and Saori weaving🧵

Why sea turtles? I love sea turtles. Sea turtles have played vital roles in maintaining the health of the world’s oceans for more than 100 million years. These roles range from maintaining productive coral reef ecosystems to transporting essential nutrients from the oceans to beaches and coastal dunes.

So here is my second sea turtle painting in alcohol ink

My first Saori weaving came off the loom this weekend. I chose 🎃Halloween colors for my first attempt on this loom. It was so much fun!
